Delete Your Account

At Purpose Budget, we respect your right to control your data.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • All transactions and account data
  • Budget categories, groups, and assignments
  • Recurring transaction templates
  • Bank connection information (Plaid tokens are revoked)
  • Billing and subscription data (Stripe customer is deleted)
  • User profile and preferences
  • All spaces and shared access

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your data before deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Sign in to self-service

The fastest way to delete your account is to sign in and use the self-service option in your settings.

Option 2: Request via email

If you can't access your account, you can request deletion by email:

  1. Email support@purposebudget.com
  2. Use subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account

  • Self-service:Immediate deletion
  • Email requests:Processed within 30 days
